Hi all,

we have a trouble on our system on the first one we have report from BRBACKUP in sapsr3.sdbah table, but on another is same report from BRBACKUP in sapsr3db.sdbah table. Configuration look's same and we don't know why is this difference.

You have some idea why is it?

Thanks for your reply.

SAPSR3 is for ABAP stack

SAPSR3DB is for JAVA stack.

each stack has its own backup and its own SDBAH table.

Hi Eric,

thank You for your response. I have one another question.

Where is this configuration? Because our SAP TEST using schema SAPSR3 and SAP PROD has SAPSR3DB and configuration

init.sap looks same and script for backup are same too. (brbackup -u / -c force -t online -m all -p initMX1.sap) And both backup oracle db are complete with all datafile.

Thank for your help.

Hello Jan,

I think this is OK as you are not backing up each schemas in DB independently but whole DB, it does not matter what kind of schema DB contains.

Hello,

Even when there "could" be two (or more) tables (if you have JAVA+ABAP or MCOD system) BR*Tools will only use one of the tables.

Which one is determined by the synonym pointing to the logging tables.

The synonyms are created during installation. Later on can be recreated with BRCONNECT.

That would be the reason you get different "owners" in the report, because the synonyms are pointing to different tables.

It does not matter to which schema is pointing,it is important that you are consistent. If you change the synonyms then you will not be able to access the old information from SAP, it is even possible that you stop getting the new information.
