TNS-12547: TNS:lost contact Error in Standby Database

Hi,

I have configured Oracle Data Guard for SAP ECC6.0. Database version is 10.2.0.2.0 and OS is Windows 2003. From last week, log transport service is not working, so i am transferring the archived redo logs manually to the stahdby server and applying the redo logs in standby database. Now the log transport service is not working and it is not able to detect the archive log gap sequence by itself.

I tried tnsping from standby server to primary server, but tnsping gives error as TNS-12547: TNS:lost contact. But tnsping from primary server to standby server is working perfectly.

Please let me know, how to resolve this issue.

You must analyze log on primary Database Server (listener log, alert Database log ecc...)...

If the operation worked well and stop working you must check:

- if listener is active in primary Site...

- if you have memory problem on Database Server

- if you have reached the maximum number of process or session...

....

Have you tried to reboot primary Database?
