can any one tell why dont we maintain one planning area in spite of maintaining various planning area..
In which scenerio we maintain more planning areas than one??? what are the causes to maintain various planning area..
If we maintain more planning areas How it affects in the side of performance in dp???
Hi Dallyanusha,
The decision of usage of planning area numbers is purely
customer based.
It depends upon the customer usage. Say for eg, if you have
multiple plannings or scenarios of data mapping in your system
for easy retrieval of key figures and data management, then
you can have multile scenarios.
If your supply chain system is very simple, then you can simply
use SAP delivered planning areas.
If you have more planning areas in place, then the management
of data is little bit challenging.
