Dear Experts,
Is match & merge workflow step supported in Portal Content?
Like in DataManager we can process Match & Merge workflow step in Matching mode.
Is there any similar functionality supported in Portal Content using UWL & iViews?
The requirement is to show all existing matching records to user, while creating a new record using Portal Content UI.
We cannot provide DataManager to all users, because DM is not user friendly and also users are spread across geography!
Regards,
Shailesh.
Hi Shailesh,
The option to Match & Merge is not supported in MDM Standard iViews.
There are plans to have this functionality as part of the WD components that are planned to be released with MDM 7.1 SP04.
Hope this information helps,
Idan

Hi,
If you have BPM in place, it is possible to view the matching score and the probable duplicates.
But this would require that the Match option which can be seen at the EP side should be customised for it. It is not possible in the standard one.
But Merging is not possible. It can be done only in Data Manager.
Thanks,
Priti.
Hi Shailesh,
You have to use the matching and merging API and need to fetch the result from these APi in a table GUI element for the webdynpro customized ivew. The good thing is while matching a record the record need not to be created in the repository and you can create a dummy of it and display the result of matching(selected vs all) in a table to the user. This is how we achieved it in our project. However there is no standard Iview available for this
Thanks
Vinay

Hi Shailesh
You can use "Compare" mode in Item Details iViews and configure list of comparation fields
You can call match through workflow and get matching results in portal iViews

Hi Shailesh,
to my knowledge, this is not possible in standard MDM iviews.
