Hi Friends,

We have installed MS SQL Server 2005, and MDM.

Trying to connect SQL Server from MDM using default user 'sa', but getting the error message Unable to connect Database.

Do we need to don any configurations after installing the MS SQL Server 2005, Please let me know.

Regards,

Lakshmi Prasad.

Hi Lakshmi,

Check MDM Logs, you might get some clue there.

I faced similar problem earlier and the solution was to set the database to use Unicode character set, such as u2018UTF8u2019 or u2018AL32UTF8u201D

Hi Experts,

We are working on MDM 5.5 and DBMS as MS SQL Server 2005, I am able to connect to MDM.

while creating the repository we are not giving file path so it is taking default file path.

Repository is created but it is showing as locked,

Please try to give suggestions asap.

Hi Lakshmi,

When ever you create a Repository it will be in Unconnected (Locked) mode. Just double click (or right click and say connect) on the repository and give 'Admin' as user and blank password on the new popup screen, then you can start working with the Repository.

Kindly Check the below link for working with repo.
