Hi experts,

Stock is available. Why the message below still pops up when creating outbound delivery?

For e.g., order qty 10K while stock 10K is available. When creating delivery, the message below pops up. After pressing enter, delivery creation screen occurs. It shows delivery qty 10K.

The current setting is delivery cannot be created until stock is avavilable. MRP 3 in material master is blank.

"The sum of the confirmed quantity exceeds the sum of stock items Message no. VV040"

Dear Lakshmipathi,

Many thanks. However, it's not relevant. No batch management is configured. You may notice the message only pops up when switching the screen "create outbound delivery with order relevance" to "outbound delivery create: overview".

The reasons I want to solve it:

1. this message does not reflect the true status of stock (see the example in my previous post)

2. this message pops up for every line item. There're always over 20 items in one sales order. When creating delivery, pressing enter 20 times.

Hi,

"The sum of the confirmed quantity exceeds the sum of stock items Message no. VV040"

This message is coming because on the date of PGI the stock is not available, change the PGI date into delivery based upon stock availabilty in the system.

Use T.Code MB51 - Material Doc list, to view the stock availability (based upon material movement) into the system, and then acoording to availibilty of stock on a specific date inter the date in delivery PGI field to do the PGI of delivery.

regards

Vivek.
