We have an old version of ESS,MSS but every now and then we are upgrading backend levels so because of that we are facing incompatibility issues between ess ,mss frontend and backend..Because of these incompatibility issues we are planning to upgrade just ESS not MSS because we have done so many customisations in MSS and we dont want to redo them if we upgrade .We are using NWDI and maintaining a track with ESS,MSS and their required components like PCUI_GP.We are planning to create one more track with latest versions of ESS and PCUI_GP so that we can avoid incompatibility issues with ESS and we can keep our customisations in MSS.
Is it the right approach because in one track where we have older versions we have one version of PCUI_GP and in another track we will have new version of PCUI_GP.will it cause any problem to existing MSS applications?
Please let me know whether my approach is correct or not
