Export To Excel In Visual Composer 7.0

Hi ,

i need Exprot Excel Functionality in Visual Composer7.0 EP7.0 & SP17 . we are getting the data from BI 7 Version Queries in Portal .

As We Know there is No Direct Open of Export to Excel Functionality

After Folliowing the Great Link

Using Web Design API .with Hyperlink .

When im trying click on Export To Excel Button It throws Error .

Im Using Compiler Flash Flex2 Compiler.

When i am using Flash Compiler it Throws An Error in VC .

please give me valuehble inputs

Hi

Have you refered the document 'How Tou2026Export Data from Visual Composer'?

Are your BI-JAVA and Visual Composer components are on the same server? You need both same server then only the procedure in that document works. Just check the last para of that article there you will get solution.

Hi

I doubt whether it is possible to check directly in Visual Composer. You need to contact your Portal Administrator or the person who is responsible for server configuration & maintenence.

Hi

The code which you have entered is diirecting to your BEx query. THat query must be with 'Input Variables'.

If you look that document carefully, you will observe that, the 'Data Service' (Query) used in the screen shots, dont have 'Variable Port'. It has only 'Input port'. That means this query is without 'Input Variables'. So whatever you are getting is i think correct & is as per that document only.

I can tell you one work around solution for this -

1. Install one PDF converter one your machine (or End Users Machine)

2. Create Print button with 'Print Action' (Without Any Code)

3. Select Print option as 'Entire Page'

4. When you click on this button at run time, it will open print pop up dialog box with llist of printers.

5. Then select the pdf converter & Print.

6. It will give you your entire VC model in PDf format.

I had similar issue. I used following formula in toolbar button with hiperlink.

Here, I have used SET_VARIABLES_STATE command to set variables in BI query. If you use this command you wil not get variable screen.

Query Name = Direct Name or REPTNAME I Have to give .

Here i have give the REPTNAME It opens the Variable Screen of BI give error above

The metadata of "CMD" "SET_VARIABLES_STATE" are incorrect for parameter "VARIABLE_VALUES VARIABLE_VALUE"

Hi,

For query name either you can directly give technical name of query or keep it in data store (as you are currently doing) and pick up from data store.

For variable id, contact your BI team , they will give you technical ID of input variables.

For variable value, either you can directly give variable value like '01.01.2008' or select it from data fields, so that values entered by user in input form will be picked up.

Make sure you have not missed any concatenation operator (&). Also, check for URL in browser, it will give you idea about actual values getting passed to BI commands.

Now I got Variable Id and Varibale Value i have give From Data Fields of VC .

When i click on Button Export To Excel it gives

SET_VARIABLES_STATE is Correctly placed For

VARIABLE_VALUES VARIABLE_VALUE

if give

VARIABLE_VALUES VARIABLE_VALUE instead of SET_VARIABLES_STATE it is giving No MetaData is available for VARIABLE_VALUES VARIABLE_VALUE

it throws like .
