Kernel 4.6D Ext (32 Bit) can Support oracle 8.1.7 ?

hi All,

currently i was trying to upgrade my oracle from 8.1.7 to oracle 9.2, do is supposed to upgrade my oracle 1st or i need to upgrade my kernel from 4.6D to 4.6D Ext since i check the PAM (kernel 4.6D Ext doesn't have oracle 8.1.7 in there) thanks.

Upgrade you DB first then the kernel.
