export of CC from 7.0 to 7.1

Hi,

As we know importing Communication channel from 7.0 to 7.1 is a difficult task without BASIS 7.0 on ESR.

We tried to import Basis 7.1 in pi 7.0 which was not possible.

Is there a work around we can apply that allow us to export CC from 7.0 and use them in 7.1 by just placing the required parameters and without having to replace Basis component?

We do not replace the BASIS components....we need to add the BASIS 7.0 to the SAP PI7.1 server....the procedure is mentioned in the below document....

You should import the BASIS 7.0 in to the PI 7.1 system ESR. Then import the communication channels. After that edit them so that they use the 7.1 meta data. Once you are done, delete the BASIS 7.0 SWC from ESR.
