Hi Anirban
Please find the step-by-step procedure to delete the Material Master record:
1. In the Material Master menu, choose Material->
Flag for deletion -> Immediately or Schedule.
The initial screen appears.
2. Choose Extras->Proposal list.
An overview appears of all materials without stocks.
3. Choose the material you want to flag for deletion.
The system copies the material to the initial screen.
4. Specify the organizational level(s) at which you want
to flag the material for deletion and, if you are
scheduling the setting of the deletion flag, the date
required, and choose Enter.
A data screen appears containing the organizational
level(s) you specified on the initial screen.
5. Select the organizational level(s) at which you want
to flag the material for deletion and save your data.
Hope this really helps you.
Thanks
Alexander

Hi
I tried the same after doing the suggested steps when i go to mm03 to see the material exists or not it gives a
warning message deletion flag set at client level and then enters the material details. How can it be totally deleted from the database so that when i enter a particular master record ie the material no its says that the material doesnot exist?
Hi Anirban
The reason could be the Archive or Deletion program run may happend so that your materials flagged for deletion would have cleared; generally it is flagged for deletion at the client level. Here I have copied the steps to cancel the flagged for deletion.
Cancel Flagged for Deletion
1. In the Material Master menu, choose Material->
Flag for deletion->Immediately or Schedule.
The initial screen appears.
2. Enter the number of the material and specify the
organizational levels at which you want to cancel the
deletion flags.
Choose Enter.
A data screen appears containing the organizational
levels you specified on the initial screen.
3. Cancel the deletion flag(s) by deselecting the
organizational levels as required.
Save your data.
Hope this helps you.
Cheers
Alexander
