CRM 7.0 survey with internal CAT server

We are using CRM7.0. for various modules...My question is for survey leads,opportunities, we have configured the ABAP based internal CAT server. We have enabled the VMC as well. Do we really need VMC to use the surveys when it is configured Abab based internal CAT server. Please advise since VMC consumes lot of memory..

Hi Ramesh,

With the Virtual Machine Container technology SAP has achieved a technological foundation that allows Java applications to be executed with a similar level of robustness as software developed in ABAP. So being ABAP based internal CAT server, VMC not required in our environment unless you have any other dependance on VMC.
