Hi All,

In CRM 7.0 ABA ,i am trying to import SPs.

SPAM is hanging at the CHECK_REQUIREMENTS phase with error "Queue Not Empty"

Last time during the same SP update, the system was not allowing to login with error "Error in Program SAPLSESF"

So we restored Oracle DB and again started SPAM update.

Check transport tool is showing everything Correct ,but when trying tp commands say tp connect to SID i am gettign this error

========

G:\usr\sap\trans\bin>tp SHOWBUFFER DC1 -D SOURCESYSTEMS= TAG=SPAM

This is tp version 372.04.65 (release 701, unicode enabled)

E-TPSETTINGS could not be opened.

EXIT

Error in TPSETTINGS: transdir not set.

tp returncode summary:

TOOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0

ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0208

tp finished with return code: 208

meaning:

error in transportprofil (param missing, unknown,...)

=============

I have reconfigured STMS ,restarted the system but not able to proceed with SPAM update.

Pls suggest.

Regards

Ajay

Hello,

As per log you have provided, it says...

Error in TPSETTINGS: transdir not set

So please check in Instance profile if Parameter DIR_TRANS is set correctly or not.

Also check for parameter DIR_EPS_ROOT.

Also via transaction STMS check for directory access, tp tool etc.

Abhay

HI Raghu

Parameter is availabe in Tp_DOMIAN_PPF

Hi Abhay

Added the parameters in instacne profile as well.No luck

More information ,in STMS whne i am trying to see tp system logs gettign error that

Could nto open S LOG file.

I am actually trying to clear the tp buffer ,but tp commands are not working at OS level.

FYI this is a distributed installation ,DB on Linux and SAP on Windows SAP CRM 7.0 Oracle 10g.

Intrestingly ,i am getting the same error -could not open tp log for all the systems installed on this server.

Ajay

Is that usr/sap/trans is shared/mounted?

Seems to be trans dir is not shared.

Hi Ajay,

Have you checked SAP Note 28781 - Central transport directory NT/UNIX ?

Is this server is a Production server ?

Is /usr/sap/trans of Domain Controller is shared among the servers. Please check in STMS in dev server, whether the present server is showing active?

If it is shared then you can able to check the tp connect command.

Hi Ajay,

Check for the parameter transdir in TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL file.

If not, then set it in the file.

Cheers....,

Raghu
