During PGI for deliveries with Non-Stock materials, we get warning message (Group is not defined in the Availability check).

We want to STOP this warning message.

Thanks in advance

Hi karthik,

Please check the path and see the required settings are there or not.

SPRO --> IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Basic Functions --> Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements --> Availability Check --> Availability Check with ATP Logic or Against Planning

Define Checking Groups Default Value

Carry Out Control For Availability Check

Hop this helps,

Hello,

Check the material master MM02 on Sales: General/Plant or MRP3 "Availability check". Also, in MM02 if you to the menu Environment Display changes to see if this field was changed and what the date was for the change. Compare this to the creation date of your open order. If the order date is before this change was made in the material master it could cause this error to occur on deliveries. In our case it was causing this error for an inbound against a supplier scheduling agreement (even though the message was VV304). The material availability check had been changed after the scheduling agreement was created. A new scheduling agreement was created and this issue was resolved.

Check in sale order what schedule line category is flowing for those non-stock items. Next go to VOV6, select that schedule line category and execute. There check whether the box is ticked against "Availability check".

Hi,

Maintain MRP group in MRP-1 veiw in material master and check the message is stopped during PGI.

If this field has not been maintained, the system uses the material type instead of the MRP group. In this case,

the material type has to be maintained as the MRP group in Customizing.

OVAH cannot be used since it does not contain message no VV304,

Moreover we need to find the reason/source of this warning message. (Why this message?)

Check the Sales General/Plant Data in the Material Master. If the availability check field is not maintained this is likely your problem.
