RemoteUploadException

hi

I am trying to import IDOC from R/3 to XI

and I get the following message

+ com.sap.aii.ibrep.sbeans.upload.RemoteUploadException: java.lang.NullPointerException

can it be realted to closed ports between the XI Server and the R/3 Server ? I dont know what port it uses ..

any1 have Ideas ? mayb something else?

do u have rfc destination in XI SM59 Pointing to R3.

in idx1 create port and associate to rfc destination created in sm59(pointing to r3)

in idx2 import metadata..

hi,

go to transaction <b>IDX2</b> and try importing the IDOC metadata

from there

(<b>F5</b> and specify the port and idoc)

if you'll succeed then try inside the repository once more

BTW

you need to create a port to your R3 system

first in transaction <b>IDX1</b> (and rfc dest to r3 in <b>SM59</b>)

if the above will not help

you can also check

http://server:port/rep/support/public/LockAdminService

and check if there are no locks inside

if there you can remove then from this address

and try the import again

The basis team recently upgraded to sp 16

do i need to define the IDoc as Remote Enbabled?

do u know how to do it?
