hi,

i'm using offline forms and want to force a user to save the document under a new name. I can set the attribute of the original file manually to write-protected. Can i do this when i create the document automatically? is there some document attribute or can i do this using reader rigths?

Hello,

it´s a pity nobody could help with this. I can´t help either, but what I´ve heard about doing that manually: if you need to crack your PDF and want to copy/ print/ change it, it will take you like seconds. Adobe protection was said to be very weak. Maybe they´ve worked on this... So you wouldn´t/ won´t get a security feature but only a trick how to protect the file against the "average" user:))

Have a nice day, Otto

thanks for your answer!

i'm sending the pdf out of the system as template and a user has to fill in data. the pdf should be protected so that he couldn't overwrite the template...

i can do it manually after the export but i'm looking for an automatic way
