external connection to oracle database

Hi,

I have ECC 6.0 on MS SQL server on server x and want to connect to External oracle database which running on server b.

Below steps already completed.

1. I already made entry into dbcon in SAP for oracle connection.

2. i am able to connect oracle through sql plus from server x so my sql net connection working fine.

3. already set environment variable ORACLE_SID on server x.

but when i try to test connection by work process get restarted no error is dumped.

please help me to resolve issue.

You need to have a look at the work process trace file. It is located in your work dir (something like D:\usr\sap\SID\DVEGMGS00\work).

The file is called dev_wX, where X is the number of the work process.
