copy quantity

Hi friends,

We have a requirement where the order quantity from the sales order has to be copied in the delievry as delivery quantity even after the availibilty check done by the system. If the stocks are less the user would change the delivery quantity and pick the same and do PGI.

Thanks

AJ

Hi,

What is there in the "Confirmed Quantity" field will get copied to the Delivery document line item. So with ATP, system always, check the available stock & equals the Confirmed Quantity to available quantity.

So you cannot create a delivery document for a ordered quantity if you don't have sufficient stock. Therefore it's not possible

Hi anupa,

thanks for the reply,But we just require the delivery quantity to be the same as the order quantity may be for just the statistical quanity and when the the user if assume picks the same quantity which is lesser i stock the system can give the message as xx qty only available for delievry as it happen in std system.

we just want the order qty to be picked in the delivery qty.

Hi,

In standard system, delivery is always created for the confirmed quantity, not for the order quantity. Even in MTO scenario, delivery document is created for the available quantity for that SO line item. So for both cases it's for the confirmed quantity & when you try to pick more than what is there (Confirmed) system gives that error.

Hello,

As per my understanding goes, in Standard SAP you can only create delivery for those quantity of Sales Order which is actually confimed at Plant level. Suppose your customer has ordered for 10 Quantity of Product "ABC" and the confirm quanity is 5 only. You can create a delivery document with 5 only Quantity and process the Sales Cycle thereafter.

Hi friends,

Thanks for the reply. we do not want to do away with the availibility check. we just want the order quantity form the order to be copied in the delivery qty and then the system can do the availity check at the delivery and say if the stock is less only the available qty can be delievered.

please suggest is that workable.

regards

AJ

Hi,

What Ravi Sankar suggested is correct: You can swich off Avalability check in Sales Order Schedule Line. This however does not effect Delivery avalability check, it will still be done. Therefore you acheive exactly what you need: full SO qty will copy to delivery.

I would however check first with the business to make sure you understand why they want this to happen. And show them example after you do the config change in test.

Hi

If you switch off the availability check in schedule line category- the system always confirms the entire order quantity for the requested delivery date in one schedule line. When the delivery is created referencing this sales order, the entire order quantity (the confirmed quantity in schedule line) will be copied to delivery.

Ravi
