Posting change notice

Dear Team,

I am facing a problem in converting many Posting change notice to TO .

In transaction LU04, when we try to create TO for PCN, the message is "select atleast one storage type first"

If we try to change the status of PCN in LU02 , the system display a message as below,

The "To-data" is the same as the "From-data" in all fields of this posting change notice.For posting changes, at least one data field must be changed.

Currently there is no stock in the storage location.

Please suggest any possible answers.

Hi,

You get error message L3284 because you didn't select any quant for processing in LT05 (when processing the PCN from LU04 you get to trx LT05).

You posted an IM movement relevant to PCN (e.g. release from blocked stock) and the corresponding stock might be located in several storage types in WM (several quants of the same characteristics as the stock posted in IM may exist...). You have to select the relevant quants (because the system cannot determine it on its own...):

- select a storage type

- click on "Quant list" button

- define the quantity for the relevant quants

- F8

...Currently there is no stock in the storage location...

What can you see in WM? It may happen that someone already booked manually what should have been booked by processing the PCN...

If there's no quant to be selected then you can set the PCN as processed (LUBU-STATU=U) in LU02.

Please examine what is the situation in your system (WM) and physically. Based on this you can make order in SAP - whether processing PCNs or manually creating TOs.

Thanks for your reply.

Currently there are no quants available to process the posting change notice in LT05.

If we try to change the status of posting change notice in LU02, the message number is L2146.

The description of message is

The "To-data" is the same as the "From-data" in all fields of this posting change notice.

For posting changes, at least one data field must be changed.

As observed in the posting change notice created, the source data and destination data is identical without any change.

How can we remove the open posting change documents permanently.

(it seems your material documents were not posted "properly' - in IM the source and destinaton data were the same)
