Changed Basic dates after reschedule

Hi Experts

I have the following activities in project:

01.12.09 to 21.12.09 - Activity 1

24.12.09 t0 13.01.10 - Activity 2

The acctivity 1 has been finally conformed for the period 03.12.09 to 24.12.09.

Then i rescheduled.

Now, i observed that the WBS Eements basic start has been 30.12.09 to 18.01.10 (there are public holidays in between)

How to retain the basic start in place. Because i believe that the confirmed activity period should includes basic dates.

I request expert's comments in this aspect.

You can do this by using User Status of WBS elements as BDSF (which is Basic Dates Scheduling Forbidden).

In config settings of User status (OK02), create a status where you select the forbidden button for 'Schedule Basic dates'. and let this status be triggered when you release the project.

Hello,

Pls check the scheduling paramaters for your network type (OPU6) and also the same for WBS elements. Check if the adjust basic dates indicator is turned on. This might be the reason behind basic start dates getting overwritten.

Thanks for you reply.

The adjust basic dates functionality is required for initial schedule and reschedule.

I wish the basic start date to be retained after confirmation (partial / final)
