Configuring transportation module realated to SD

Hi Expert,

Please explain how to configure the transportation module, I have tried to search related data but unfortunatily not get much info on this. I have tried the info i have but it is not working.

Pl ease provide the step-by -step info.

Select New Entries and Assign the Shipping Type (e.g. Road or Train) and Assign Mode of Transport (Mdtr) and Assign Shipping type Procedure group.

Define Transportation Connection Point

Path: Under the Same Menu path--- Define Transportation Connection Point.

Define Routes and Stages.

Select the New Entries and Enter the Details

Then Select the Routes stages and define

Maintain Stages for all Routes.

Select the Shipping point and enter the Country and Transportation Zone

Go to Customer master data.

In Address of General data. Enter the Transportation Zone id. and save, U will get the route.

Hi,

In short below are the important steps:

Shipping configuration:

1)Maintain shipping point and assign shipping point to the plant

2)Carry shipping point determination based on the loading group in t code OVL2

3)Maintain shipping data for plant in STO configuration. Maintain properly sales org, DC and division combination.

4)if it in cross company stock transfer with billing then maintain customer-receiving plant assignment and vendor -supplying plant assignment.

Transportation config:

1)Define routes, shipping type and mode of transport

2)Define transportation zones and maintain route determination

3)Define shipment type

4) Define number range for shipment doc. and shipment cost document

5)Define pricing for shipment cost calculation
