Hello,

I need to replace the current version of the librfc32.dll but windows won't allow me, it displays the message: Cannot copy librfc32.dll it's being used by another version or program. I've have already stoped the SAP Portal but the problem persists.

Is there a service/app that needs to be stoped first?

Thnaks in advance.

Hi,

You can always replace the file in Safe Mode and then restart.

1. To locate services holding librfc32.dll without re-booting Windows, you may download the freeware Process Explorer

2. Select "Find DLL" from "Find" menu (Ctrl+E), put librfc32 in "DLL Substring" text box and press "Search" button.

3. You will find several services locking in the "librfc32" -- double click on each one to go to server process holding the DLL in memory.

4. Pressing the Delete key or red "Kill Process" button from tool bar will kill the using process.
