clean copy of quality-system as new development

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a possibility to make system copy from Quality to Development without data, so only custom developments and customizing is being transprorted. We have inconsistent systems because people did not consequently develop in the development system, but started in quality system right away.

Is something like that also possible for a single client?

Hello,

A client copy or remote client copy will NEVER include repository objects like tables, programs, function modules, classes, ...

In your specific case I think there is only one solution.

Perform a full system copy from QA to DEV.

Afterwards on DEV perform a client copy with profile SAP_CUST or SAP_UCUS to a new client.

Then you will end up with a new client in DEV containing only customizing.

With the remaining client in DEV you have two options.

Perform a client delete if the client is no longer needed.

Perform a client copy with profile SAP_ALL from the new client to the existing one.

After this operation you will end up with two similar clients, one can be used to perform Cust and Development, the other one can be used as sandbox.

Most important, you will end up with an alligned landscape (DEV and QA).

Only way remote client copy.....you can't perform system copy with selected data.
