item category for materials

Hi all,

I would like to know where do we set the item category for the materials.Because whenever i attach the material components to the the activity it takes the item category as N or L by default depending on whether the item is non stock or stock.Do we do it in MM module or PS module.Kindly tell me where in SPRO do we these settings for the materials.

Hi,

Find out Network profile related to this project.

then go to OPUU & then keep blank the field "procurement" which is in Network tab, related to that network profile.

Default item category is defined in PS @

SPRO - Project systems - Material - Procurement - Define Procurement Indicators for Material Components. This is the place where we define the default item category and this procurement indicator is assigned in Network Profile.

Check and confirm on the same. Hope this will clarify your doubt.
