Adding technical system in SLD - is this common?

Former Member

i have added a technical system successfully in SLD, however the database tab was inactive

i had to go through the Administration- Content maintenance and create DB system / DB instance/ and respective BC associations manually

Is this normal, or am i doing something wrong?

Have you setup the update process in RZ70 on the remote systems? That would at least update the SLD with the ABAP instances.

well, in rz70 i configure the SLD bridge and then when i run the collection it fails with RFC error

in fact in SM59 SLD_UC and SLD_NUC fail

i was wondering since this is a remote system, how does it now i am using a central SLD , located on the solution manager?

do i have to put the solution manager and his gateway for SLD bridge info?

now it has the localhost as an entry

Yavor,

It depends, which SLD you put in RZ70 based on your SAP enviornment and business needs.

You need to put hostname and gateway service information in RZ70 even if SLD is on local machine.

for service put entry like "sapgw00" if instance number is 00.

if you are using central SLD (Solman), put hostname of Solman and gateway information.
