NIECONN_REFUSED for sapmessage server

Hi all,

i am installing ECC6 in one host, which is have already one instance (C1P / sno:50), installed one instance C2T with sno:00 successfully.

but i am trying to install C3D / sno:01 / with default ms server port ( 3601 & 3901)

it say's disconnected from message server.

if try with C3D /s.no :10 and meg ports as ( 3610 & 3910) it say's NIECONN_REFUSED. hostname : 3910.

Satish,

For the first error (disconnected from message server) go to /etc/services and make sure the port you are trying to use is not already occupied.

For the second errror, you probably need to delete your installation script(s) and start the install over, and check to make sure that the new port 3610 is being created in the /etc/services file. If it is created, you can tell if it is running by running this:

netstat -na | grep 3610.

I have the same problem .... when I install second instance on the same server I got this error

Where can I found this port 3920?

/etc/services ....

Hi Mirko,

you need add to /etc/services this data:

sapms<SID> 3920/tcp # SAP System Messaging Service Port

sapms<SID> 3910/tcp # SAP System Messaging Service Port
