Hi,
I have processed a sales order thru delivery and invoiced it.
We maintain "Customer Notes" Text type in text determination which is picked in sales Order - Delivery and in Invoice.
In sales document this Text type is not showing any language beside it. But in delivery and invoice it is showing a different language than the original language maintained in customer master. The language key which is the last field under text tab is showing the original language of the customer and the problem we are having is with the text type language.
From where this text type language is picked and why it is different than the original language ?
What shall I do If I don'g want to show language for text type as it is happening in sales order ?
Thank You in advance.
Hi Ganesh,
please see the detailed explanation;
1. Language proposal when creating a sales and distribution document
withtext in the overview screen:
a) As long as you do not enter a sold-to party, the language
proposal of the text in the overview screen is the logon
language.
b) If you enter a sold-to party, the system displays the language of
the sold-to party for the text in the overview screen.
If, however, a text exists in a language for the text type
displayed in the overview screen, the system displays this text.
If several languages exist, the system displays the language
which comes first in alphabetical order.
However, if a text in the language of the sold-to party exists
among these several languages, the system displays this text.
c) A text displayed in the overview screen is also displayed
directly when you branch to the header texts ('Goto' -> 'Header'
-> 'Texts').
2. Language proposal in the header texts ('Goto' -> 'Header' ->
'Texts')
a) If a text in a language exists for the upper header text type,
the system displays this directly during the branch to the text
screen.
If several languages exist for this upper text type, the system
displays the language which comes first in alphabetical order.
If a text in the language of the sold-to party exists among the
several languages, the system displays this text.
b) If no text exists yet for the upper text type, this text type is
ready for input during the branch to the text screen and the
default language is set to the language of the sold-to party.
c) When you create a text (double-click the text type or choose
'Create'), the system proposes the language of the sold-to party.
If you edit a text in a different language than that of the
sold-to party on the text screen, the default language for the
creation of a text of a different text type is the language of
the last text you edited.
If you double-click this text type again, the system returns the
language of the sold-to party as a proposal again.
That is, the creation of texts for different text types is
initially proposed in the language of the last text you edited,
and only if you double-click the text type again, the system
proposes the language of the sold-to party.
. Language proposal in the item texts ('Goto -> Item -> Texts')
a) See 2.a) correspondingly for item texts
b) See 2.b) correspondingly for item texts
c) See 2.c) correspondingly for item texts
d) When you edit texts on item level, you can branch from one item
to another directly.
When you branch to the text screen of the other item, the system
displaysits upper text type; if this contains texts, the system
displays the text which comes first in alphabetical order.
However, if a text in the language of the sold-to party exists in
the upper text type, the system displays this text.
If no text exists for this text type, the text type becomes ready
for input and has the language of the sold-to party as a language
proposal.
Kind regards,
Ramana
