SAP License

After Database refresh,I am trying to start sap,it says " Logon Refused,(Valid License not installed)"

I got this error while i am trying to install license from CMD

SAPLICENSE (Release 640) ERROR ***

ERROR: Can not set DbSl trace function

DETAILS: DbSlControl(DBSL_CMD_IMP_FUNS_SET) failed with return code 20

RC-INFO: error loading dynamic db-library - check environment for:

dbms_type = <db-type> (e.g. ora)

DIR_LIBRARY = <path to db-dll> (e.g. /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run)

Could anybody help me on this ?

Hi ,

As mentioned by you , you have just done the system referesh and you can bounce your system.

Please follow the below links to delete the SAP* user.

To activate the emergency user, you must set the login/no_automatic_user_sapstar profile parameter to the value 0. (SAP Note : 68048).

And then restart the SAP system, this will activate the SAP* user and you can login to the system with standard password "PASS".

After that you can install the license.

Hi

Before you attempt to install SAPLICENSE please check if the DB connectivity working fine.

from command prompt type 'r3trans -d'

If you are running with NetWeaver 04/04s, you can also try to implement license using SLICENSE or you still can try to install using command line way also as you were trying.

Why don't you install license with SAP* user through tcode SLICENSE?

Are you running this as root or sidadm? It just looks like the account used for the command doesn't have the environment variables set as needed.

Thank you..that worked but while installing i get this error

*saplicense: License not installed

• Wrong license data specified

Check the specified license data for:

- typing errors

- upper / lower characters

- same values as noted on license fax*

And I cannot install with SAP* because it is locked and it is not allowing other users to login

Did you try installing a temp license first? I've been able to get around some temporary license issues using that.

You can also use SAP* in another client (000 comes to mind).

If you still get the error on applying the license, double check the hardware key.

As you know this is a copy from PROD system..now i am trying to install QAS key which i took it from Service Market place.

I tried with permanent key but getting errors so i tried to apply temperory license key.

I checked hardware key,its the correct one.

I cannot log in to 000 client also with SAP*

You have to either unlock SAP* or activate hardcoded SAP* by deleting SAP* from table USR02 with DB tools.

btw. please specify SAP, OS and DB releases.

Hello,

You can install SAP License from OS level.Run the command saplicense - install.

It will ask SID,Hardware key,Expire date,License key.
