Hi,
We are getting an error while archiving through SARA.
The storage job goes into error with log:
*************************************************************************
Archive file 000377-016IDOC is being processed
Connection to http://10.18.78.76:5583/cs?create&pVersion=0046&co: TCP/IP error
Archive file 000377-016IDOC cannot be stored
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE
*************************************************************************
The storage server is IBM Commonstore, and that has been restarted twice.
Also, the connection test in SAP for the AI content repository is successful.
But still the error persists.
Kindly advice what should be done.
Regards,
Kunal.
You do not post much information: release, version, patching, OS.. I will have to answer with some questions, maybe the solution is in there:
IS this the first time you store to this CS?
What happens if you store direct from SARA? what's the error? something in the wp tracefile?
I hope the URL you posted is not the complete one? should look like [THIS|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/f5/9561c5f3b111d1955b0000e82deb58/frameset.htm]
What is the size of the file you are archiving? Some CS have a limitation of 2GIG.
Database not full?
saphttp up to date?
FW in between ? Maybe cutting out packages ( have seen this once before)
Are the other URL's working?
check and recheck all OAC0 settings.

Hi Nico,
Thanks for your reply...Kindly find the answers below...
You do not post much information: release, version, patching, OS.. I will have to answer with some questions, maybe the solution is in there:
It is an ECC 6.0 system (i.e. Basis release 700), no EHP level...
IS this the first time you store to this CS?
No, we did so earlier many times...
What happens if you store direct from SARA? what's the error? something in the wp tracefile?
We are doing from SARA only...But as the store jobs went into error after we try to run the session of archiving, hence we manually tried to store the files using the 'store' button...and then selecting the particular file...
We checked in the dev_http & dev_rfc0 etc files...But nothing pointing to this problem...
I hope the URL you posted is not the complete one? should look like THIS
What is the size of the file you are archiving? Some CS have a limitation of 2GIG.
The size of each archive file is too less...around 20MB...
Database not full?
No, database is not full...Also, enough space in archive directory...
saphttp up to date?
Kernel was upgraded some time ago, dont know when...need to check...Could the problem be related to the saphttp file??
FW in between ? Maybe cutting out packages ( have seen this once before)
Are the other URL's working?
The URLs are managed by a third party...But could you tell us which URLs to check...SO that we can inform the third party accordingly...
check and recheck all OAC0 settings.
Where to check there, please let me know...
Regards,
Kunal.
if you store direct from sara, you should also check the dia wp logs.
certainly check ( maybe from another system) with another saphttp and/or kernel
the link on how the url should look like is mentioned above.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/f5/9561c5f3b111d1955b0000e82deb58/frameset.htm
Here is the link with other commands: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/f5/9561cbf3b111d1955b0000e82deb58/frameset.htm
serverInfo should norally work
what does http://10.18.78.76:5583/ give you from a browser? Can you reach the server?
Do you only have the problem with this file? Or with all files?
In OAC0 check the content server used, check server, port, also do a test connection , status information ... and if you can also use trxn csadmin to check ( also reachable from OAC0 , -> cs admlin) check the overview, look for "red"
Hope you find something unusuall.
Hi Nico,
Thanks for your reply...
We get the below error in connection test through tcode OAC0 and in 'cs admin':
Error in HTTP Access: IF_HTTP_CLIENT->RECEIVE
ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED
Does this indicate whether it is problem in SAP side or teh IBM CommonStore side?
Also, in SARA--> Management, when I go to the previously successful archiving sessions, and I double click on any file (in green), I get the message in red saying that ' Archive File Not Accessible'. Earlier when the connection was working between SAP & CommonStore, I used to get here a yellow sign saying that 'archive is accessible in storage system'.
Kindly suggest.
Regards,
Kunal.
Hi,
One more information:
The dev_icm trace shows the below:
[Thr 1800] Mon Dec 28 09:23:35 2009
*[Thr 1800] *** ERROR => NiBufIConnect: non-buffered connect pending after 5000ms (hdl 42;10.18.78.76:5583) [nibuf.cpp 4611]*
*[Thr 1800] *** WARNING => Connection request from (60/13429/0) to host: 10.18.78.76, service: 5583 failed (NIECONN_REFUSED)*
Regards,
Kunal.
If you can not access your already archived files, then you can be quite sure there is a connection problem
can you reach the CS via an IE window.? ( without SAP) http://10.18.78.76:5583
are you sure you have the correct port? not 5580?
No FW active between? did you traceroute and checked with your networking guys?
The http errors mention, you can ignore, i Guess there is a icf service not active ( normally not needed to retrieve docs)
check OAC0 for server and port... test that in IE ( or firefox)
good luck
