Hi,
I am trying to login to SDM, But, I am getting the following error
Could not establish connection to server XXXXX at port 50018: The file access permissions do not allow the specified action.
I tried all this... before posting this :
-- tried to login with the default password "sdm". I could not succeed.
-- restarted the SDM and tried to login again.
-- checked the file permission to the folder /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/SDM/program. File permission is OK
-- Checked, the repository file is corrupted.. in ../config/ folder. File is in tact.
Can any one give me a clue...
Thanks!
Nick
Hi
Please ensure, the configtool->secureArea has your SIDADM passowrd set.
both SIDADM and your SecureArea passwords needs to be in synch.

Hi Nick,
If you are able to login to SDM in other systems, then you can try logging the server which has problems from the server where SDM is working.
While you connect just enter the password for other server and mention the hostname or IP address of the server.
See if you are able to connect.
If you are able to connect then compare the file and folder permission for SDM folder in both servers.
Cheers....,
Raghu
