Product Hierarchy master data deletion

Hi guys,

In ECC we created a Product Hierarchy which, after nine months, needs to be changed. Some new levels will be created and materials re-assigned while other levels will not be used in the future. Sales have been made for materials using hierachies that will no longer be used so the details will have been posted to various tables in SD and CO-PA. Is it still possible to delete these levels in master data?

Hi David,

Yes...You can delete the Product Hierarchy...as this is level dependent...first you have to delete the Higher level and proceed to the lower levels. But before deleting...make sure the product hierarchy which you are deleting, should not be used in any of the materials.

And also, the new levels which you are creating ....needs to be updated in CO-PA.
