File to RFC scenario

Hi All,

Advanced Merry Chirstmas and Happy New year.....

I have one query regarding , I have plan to do one File to RFC scenario in my XI Sandbox system.Presently i dont have access or details from SAP R/3 system.

Generally XI ABAP stack system it can acts as a SAP R/3 system. So it possible to import the RFC from this XI ABAP Stack system.

Here my question is, Is it possible to do this scenario(File-XI-SAP XI Abap stack)?

If it is possible, Then is it any connections required between XI and SAP XI abap stack?

Please clarify on the same.

Hi Sateesh,

XI abap stack is same as that of SAP R/3 system.

So you can call a RFC from XI abap stack also. In this case create one RFC communication channel in XI.

One RFC in XI abap stack. Call this RFC using communication channel in message mapping.

There is no special connection requried between XI and ABAP stack.

Is it two RFC communication channels required?

Single RFC connection can work. This RFC channel will connect XI system to ABAP stack for calling RFC created in ABAP stack
