Transport of 'View'

Hi All,

Can we transport a database view with the records in them. There is a situation where the Quality server has 2 records of the VIEW missing. SO can we transport it from the DEV. What I know about the VIEW is that it is a collection of different fields from multiple tables. I suppose that this should be dynamic but I am not sure thats why this post. Also let me know if this kind of transport is possible ( I tried adding 'R3TR-VIEW' object to transport did not work).

No, this will not be possible.

What I know about the VIEW is that it is a collection of different fields from multiple tables.

That's correct. And as the word view is suggesting: It is a way how you view your data. It is not for changing your data.

You can howver find out what entries are missing in the underlying tables, and transport them. Then also your view will show in Q the same as in DEV.
