Former Member

Hi Gurus,

I want to do the ChaRM configuration in Solution manager.

I am new to Solman . So i created test landscape. I have ECC 6.0 sandbox(SMS) system of client 110(DEV), 115(QAS), 300(PRD) as assumed.

In SCC4 assign the following client settings.

I have Configured Transport Routes in SMS 110.

I have doubt how to connect sandbox to SolMan system.

I am in right way?.if not Plz correct me.

I referred __http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/10429__ [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] & some other blog also. but i am not clear.

If anyone has some information/customizing doc, links..., I'll be really interested.

Regards,

Karthik

Dear Karthik,

I think you haven't configured your satellite system to Solution Manager.

If not, goto SMSY and define:

1) Server --> host name, IP etc

2) DB --> DB details

3) System --> R3, Netweaever etc, assign proper components, products

4) define and assign logical components for the system defined in step 3

5) generate RFC destionation to the satellite system

6) Provided you have the necessary trusted authorization and if the RFCs are generated successfully then your task is done. Else you'll have to troubleshoot.

Once this is done, you need to goto SOLUTION_MANAGER and define

1) new solution

2) make necessary inclusion in Solution Landscape Maintenance

3) include logical component

This completes the system setup for you.

Once this is done, proceed with the blog you are referring. You will be on the right path.

Hi,

I think you need to understand the workflow of ChaRM. I believe you have gone through the blogs available in SDN. They give you a much detailed explanation of the steps. Particulary visit the blogs for each phases. Apart from that, visit the rkt for Change Request Management in Service Market place. There you can find .sim files for normal and u'gent correction. Using SAP tutor, you can play them. They will be much helpful to you.

http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman.

Please revert in case of any concern
