Run /VISRA/ZVFATBAK for past dates

Hello,

We need to run /VISRA/ZVFATBAK for past dates and cannot do so. It appears that the program knows the last time the program was generated and only includes activities that occurred after that last run date/time.

Specically we need to generate the Log Report for the past dates.

Is there a way do to this?

Hi,

As per the Program structured, that will run max of 23:59:59 if you want to run for the past days you have to create all those variant and run the program by manual or with the help of ABAPer's create a wrapper for this program and schedule the program for past days.

If you look at the source code for this program, you will see that it checks a specific table for the last run date and time. This is to ensure that it will not report use data multiple times.

If you change the data in this source table, then the program may not think that it has been run for the period you wish. However, it will then report on everything since the data held in that table.

It may also really mess up the automated emails which may be dependant on this program.

I would not recommend changing the source code as the changes will be removed following any update to the support packs. Plus the fact this is SAP standard code.
