Sales order Shipment Cost Information

Shipment Cost information is desired to simulate freight costing during sales order processing. Configuration is complete in Shipment Cost to Define Profiles for Shipment Cost Information and the profile was added to the Sales Document Type.

Then order is accessed via VA02 and item level/ Extras, but the Shipment Cost Information is still gray.

Is there any other configuration that is required?

SAP version is ECC 5.0. Thanks,

T_80 was previously modified to add the shipment cost profile. Also, the sales document type was modified to include the profile; however the menu option is still gray.

This is not being pursued by the company and resolution was not found.

The freight cost estimate actually takes place in the sales order (va01

or va02). In order to have it work, you assign a planning profile to

a shipment cost profile. The shipment cost profile is then assigned to

sales order document type in vov8.

Once this is fully configured, you can get the estimate in va01 or va01

via Extras > Shipment cost information. You can assign multiple

planning profiles to the shipment cost profile to see various cost

estimates."

Thank you. I have previously done was you explained but the menu option is still gray and unable to select the shipment cost information. Why is the menu option gray/not available?
