Hi,

Let me classify the cut-over activities into 3 categories,

1. Initialization -

a. Ensure you have initialized all the planning area, planning object structure etc in APO

b. Create the Planning model & versions

c. Establish the RFC connectivity between R/3 & APO

d. Establish the source system through BW for R/3 and pull the factory calendar, UOM, currency etc

e. Check the livecache - stability of LC is always in question. So check it thoroughly along with your basis guy. Make sure the sizing has been done properly considering all the factors for APO planning.

2. Customization & Configuration -

a. We can classify all the transports that needs to be moved from QA environment to PROD.

b. Ensure all your configurations are properly setup.

c. Number ranges are created in APO for SNP & PP/DS and assigned in the respective global settings.

d. Activate the relevant planning areas and check for all the macros.

e. Check whether all the profiles are moved to PROD properly. Ensure the Heuristics which are created in system are moved and assigned to profiles.

f. Similarly check for strategy profile as well

g. Once you are sure about moving all your configurations, start moving yuor developments.

h. Check with your developer whether any particular sequence is required for moving the developments

3. Master Data & Transaction Data -

a. Check for RFC connection and test it in SM59

b. you can move all the integration models from QA to PROD. Check them as well

c. Activate the IM in the sequence Plant, Product, resources etc...

d. Maintain the APO specific fields in Product Master / Location Master using MASSD functionality

e. Test your macros with the master data, using some dummy transaction data

In our last project, we activated the transaction data integration model only during go-live session for simultaneous planning of APO & R/3. However this may differ based on what is the strategy you follow in cut-over.

Just these came to mind as of now.. may be other experts can pitch in some more info.

Thanks,

Hi,

Please find below some of them:

1. check RFC connection between ECC and SCM

2.Make sure Live cache is up and running

3Check your resources in Live cache using program /SAPAPO/CRES_CREATE_LC_RES

4.maintain Factory Calendar, or you can pull in from ECC using BW T code RSA1 and go to source system.

5. Create Time stream calendars if needed.

Thanks,
