Hi,

Scenario 1

This is actually not an error saying you are unable to connect to SLD. Only thing is that VA not able to show you SLD Data Supplier Screen. Just restart VA. At times it will work. If not able to load the page still, then proceed according to the mentioned note.

Scenario 2

In the ABAP Stack, SLD_UC RFC connection is used to connect to SLD. Check if its available and working.

Coming to your overall Doubts.

1. The answer is above.

2. Just configure the central SLD at the time of installation for new Dual Stack, ABAP stack and Java stack systems. This is the best possible way and the easiest one also.

3. The is a detailed SLD configuration post installation guide available in Marketplace. Just check the Installation Guides section.

4. This is based on the errors of issues you face. I dont think there is any guide of that sort. You will get lot of SDN posts. You can also refer to SAP notes, and also help.sap.com

5. This depends on the infrastructure and requirement. Just read the Post Installation document which will probably answer this question.

Cheers.....,

Raghu

Hi,

1) System is BI System

Bi system in your Landscape is Abap + java or just abap.

If the system is abap only then you will not able to view the RFC :- SLDAPIRFC

If your system is abap + java then there should be the RFC.

Thanks

The answer would be - SLD_UC rfc being used to transport ABAP Components information into SLD.

SLDAPIRFC - this rfc is used in XI/ PI environment.

Scenario 2

1) System is BI System.
2)When i check SM59---->http rfc---->SLDAPIRFC------> The Rfc is not created
3)When i go to RZ70 and push data , it is able to push the data to SLD
By which connection or Rfc it is pushing data to SLD.

Please go through below URL that gives you detailed configuration steps for Java based systems

I hope this helps you.
