Hello,
I have found 3 certificates (SAPPassportCA, SAPServerCA and WorkplaceCA) in TrustedCAs view in Key Storage service in our SAP XI system which will be expiring soon.
I could find info about SAPServerCA.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwes70/helpdata/en/03/428f5316c34b44a5aaaa76cbd23aa9/content.htm
Any idea where the other certificates are used and how to get new certificates.
regards,
Roshni
Hi Roshni,
Are you using these certificates(SAPPassportCA and WorkplaceCA) for any requirement ?
These are CA certificates which are available by default.
If we decide to use SAP Passports to access the portal, then we need to trust the SAPPassportCA.
Please revert.
Cheers....,
Raghu

Hi Raghu,
Thanks for the response.
I did not configure anything to use these certificates. They have come with the installation, which is why I don't know what their purpose is. As I am unable assess their purpose, I am looking to renew them to avoid any potential disruption to the application.
We are not using EP. We did not configure single sign-on as well.
regards,
Roshni.
Hi Roshni,
If you are not using these certificates, then you need not renew them. This will not cause any disruption.
Particularly SAPServerCA is used when you configure SSL with SAPTCS certificates.
SAPPassportCA is used when you use SAP passports to configure SSO.
So overall, you need not worry if you are not using them.
Cheers....,
Raghu
Hi Raghu,
Thanks.
These CA certificates are distributed by SAP.
Workplace CA certificates is part of mySAP.com Workplace.

10 points to you.

Roshni
