Dear Expert,
I have created a credit memo which is created by credit memo request as its reference (order related billing document) and credit memo request is created using billing document as reference (refer to original billing).
When I check accounting document, exchange rate in a credit memo always refer to original billing's exchange rate. Could you please help me to make exchange rate in a credit memo refer to posting date?
Please advice. Thanks.
Hello
Please check in the copy control setting for credit memo.
you can check copy control for Billing -> Credit memo req & credit memo request -> credit memo.
In the settings , There is a field PricExchangeRateType. Select the required option.
thank you

Hi
In the billing document there are 2 exchange rates, please review:
- VBRP-KURSK ( Exchange rate Item: )
Exchange Rate for the conversion Loc.currency <-> Doc.currency.
for Price Determination
The determination of this exchange rate depends on the setting
of TVCPFLP-PFKUR in customizing copy-control
- VBRK-KURRF.( Exchange rate-accntg Header level )
Exchange Rate for the conversion Loc.currency <-> Doc.currency.
for FI postings
If there is a manual entry in the sales order field VBKD-KURRF
(Goto -> Header -> Accounting), then it is copied into VBRK-KURRF.
Otherwise VBRK-KURRF is determined during invoice creation.
It is supposed that manual entry has higher priority.
See the note 36070.
During VF01 the system determines the Exchange rate for FI posting
VBRK-KURRF from the currency tables according(OB08) to the billing date
only if the field Exchange rate for FI posting is empty in the
source sales document (VBKD-KURRF).
If the sales document has this field filled, manually or copied from
a reference invoice (by copy control routine), then it is copied
in the subsequent billing document. This is the standard working
of the system.
The exchange rate should be based on your configuration in copy control
(VTFA or VTFL) at the item category level. The choices you have are as
follows:
Pricing Exhange Rate Type (V_TVCPFLP-PFKUR)
A Copy from sales order
B Price exchange rate = Accouting rate
C Exchange rate determination according to billing date
D Exchange rate determination according to pricing date
E Exchange rate determination according to current date
F Exch.rate determination accord.to date of services rendered

Ramana

Dear Ramana,
Thanks for your response. Actually, our setting always post to 2 3 currency :
1. Post to document currency (which will be posted to : BSEG-WRBTR)
2. Post to local currency (which will be posted to : BSEG-DMBTR)
3. Post to second local currency (which will be posted to : BSEG-DMBE2)
The credit memo request document using our local currency so field VBKD-KURRF has value 1.00. The problem is, when credit memo posted, the second local currency using exchange rate from previous billing. When I checked, field translation date in VBRK-KURRF_DAT filled previous billing date. Is the exchange rate determine from date in this field ?
I did not input prevois invoice date into this field. Is it behavior from standard SAP system ?
Please advice. Thanks.
