Hi David,

When r u getting this error, during login or while installing the GUI. If ur getting while login, check whether u have installed prior any other SAP GUI's if yes then delete these registered entires and reinstall GUI.

I think there is a problem with your network, chaeck ur network setting are they working properly. check it through ping.

Dear Mr Chandra

I have a problem with SAP Gui installation. I uninstalled and installed new SAP 6.4 ver but only the SAP Pad is on my desktop. Looking for the SAPGUI.exe file found it under SAP proper subdirectory but clicking on it pops up a message to do it thru RUN and enter proper parameters....

could you let me know how to overcome this silly issue ?

Hello Kaisin,

I could not understand your peoblem properly, just let me know something, If Sap GUi is properly installed on your system then a Sap Gui shourtcut must be in your desktop. if you are able to run it then you have to specify the parameter to connect to your SAP System. such as

Description -- anything

Apllication Server -- <ipof your sap server>

System id <SID of your system>

system number <00 or whatever in your system>
