HI,

CCMS is showing SAP OS collector as - NOT RUNNING

But it is running from SAP OS level, checked status and everything from OS level, any help on how to trouble shoot this.

Hi,

Would you like to check the notes below to see if they help?

1144644 CCMS: Process monitoring in ABAP returns incorrect data

834430 AIX saposcol: Unable to collect snapshot data for filesystem

If this does not help, then install the latest saposcol again as note 19227.

This should resolvethe issue.

Kind regards,

hemanth

1144644 already exist in system, with 1144644 its working in DEV and QA, not in PRD.

Hello,

I guess your problem might be a filter in the sapccmsr.ini file which is under /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<nn>/log/sapccm4x.

Under this directory you will see the file said above, in this file you can set filters for components which you do not need to be monitored by SAPCCMS agents.

Please check the settings, if you have the filter enabled then uncomment them and restart the agent.

After this you will see SAPCCMS agent reporting the values automatically.

Hope this helps.

It might be a shared memory problem for your SAPOSCOL.

can you confirm if it is Unix Platform ? Also is it collecting data in ST06 ?

If it is check ; check this :

ps -ef | grep '4dbe'

Kill the process which it is showing and then start the OS Collector from OS level.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes it is collecting data in st06 and i am able to see all the data in st06,

But st06N does not show the information,

My os is HP-UX 11.31 and oracle 10.2.2 , and 640

CCMS is showing as colector not running, and CPU,Memory and Swap are greyed out.( but collector is running in OS level)

Thanks.

Hi,

In st06n, go to additional functions and double click administer saposcol, here you can stop and start the collector.

Before you stop/start, check the status using details and if you can send the details we can provide you with more inputs.

You can look at logs too and find out if its working and if not pls attach the logs here.

Cheers Sam

What is your OS, DB and SAP release?

how does it look in St06 , do you see collection happening..

If not stop and restart SAP collector from oslevel. Assuming your OS is unix based, you can use "saposcol -f" to force start of sapcollector incase of shared memory issues with collector.
