Query reg mapping performance and disabling node

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I've disabled my top level node/segment, but still the fields within that particular segment are mapped. For example, in the below example say Seg2 is disabled while F3 & F4 are still mapped with some complex logic. Will the mapping for the fields F3 & F4 get executed still? Because, the mapping logic for F3 & F4 can lead to performance issues and I assume mapping for F3 & F4 will not get executed. Please clarify. Also, let me know if there's any SAP Help link, which describes the same.

Seg1

F1

F2

Seg2

F3

F4

Thanks,

Hussain.

Hi Hussain,

Disabling a segment or node means that they will not appear in output xml. But i guess mapping will be executed..

I will recommend you to check the display queue for the nodes F3 and F4..... If they are getting created (when the SEG2 is disabled) then that means mapping is executed (only it will not be shown in output)
