PO Item Interval issue

Hi SRM experts,

We are implementing classic scenario for SRM 5.0 and R/3 4.6C

We are facing the following issue with respect to PO created -

In SRM

1. We have defined the Number Ranges for Shopping Carts and Follow-on Documents in SPRO

2. We have defined the Number Ranges per Backend system for Follow-on Documents in SPRO

In R/3

1. We have defined the Number Ranges in SPRO

2. We have defined the Document Types in SPRO

For PO (ie Document Type EC) we have maintained Item Interval as 1.

Whenever a Shopping Cart is approved and PO gets created, the numbering is in intervals of 10.

Eg Shopping Cart 1 upon approval creates PO with number 10

The next PO for another Shopping Cart will be created with number 20 and so on.

Any pointers on this will be useful.

Nothing wrong in this. Is it your customer expects 1 rather than 10 in the Purchase order .

the control is on Document type of your ECC purchase order. Double check this configuaration with MM consultant.

we did long back

there are two ECC system

one System line item as 1 ,2 etc.another system 10 ,20 etc.

*When a PO is created manually in R/3 however, the numbering of line items is in intervals of 1.*

Could you verify the SC/PO item number in transaction BBP_PD, or in DB table CRMD_ORDERADM_I field NUMBER_INT and see if they are indeed generated with interval 10.

Hi Jay,

Following is the observation -

1. In the SRM Portal i find the two line items with intervals of 10 and 20.

2. In the table CRMD_ORDERADM_I i find the field NUMBER_INT with interval 1 and 2.

3. In R/3 I am getting the items with interval 10 and 20.

Is there any configuration setting which needs to be done?

In R/3 SPRO for document type EC we have kept item interval as 1.

This looks like a bug to me. Search for OSS notes or create an OSS message for SAP.
