Hi All,
We are proposing to upgrade our Portal which is a Java only stack 6.40 SP 23 with MSS installed and Collaboration.
The current situation we have a windows 2003, with SQL Server 2000. SAP Java 6.40 SP23 (Java only stack) EP & KMC with MSS package installed.
Our New Situation windows 2008 x64, SQL Server 2005 x64, Netweaver 07 and components. We will have new hardware so will need to move current installation onto this hardware to upgrade.
Now for my question and advice please:
Should we move the current Java system using a system export onto the new hardware and upgrade?
Or can we install a fresh Netweaver 07 system on the new hardware and some how import all the current content into this system?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
Tracey Smith.
I think the best will be to do a Homogenous System Copy to your new box and then run the upgrade.
You'll find the HSC and upgrade guide in SAP Marketplace
