Good day Forum Gurus,
My client is on AC 5.3, SP8. On ERM, there is only one customised methodology that is currently active and set as default. The standard methodology is still there, but not active.
When creating a new role in ERM, the system follow the correct methodology. However, when we attempt to change any existing roles using the "change role" in ERM, the system follows a different methodology which excludes the Role generation in QA and Role generation in PROD phase and this is accross all 4 landscapes.
Has anybody experienced such an issue? Also, when selecting the role to be changed, a little "LOCK" icon appears at the top right hand corner which indicates the role is locked. I click on the icon to unlock the role, the icon dissappears, but the role methodology is still the same.
Any advice would be highly appreciated. FYI, the new role and copy role functionality works fine and follows the correct methodology.

Have you checked that the methodolody is assigned to the correct areas / groups?
Are the existing roles assigned into the relevant group for your custom methodology?
It could be that the system does not recognise that the role is in scope of the methodology.

Hi Simon,
Are you referring to condition groups? If so, we are not using any condition groups as the default methodology should apply to all requests. All roles were uploaded into ERM using Business Process, Sub Process and reason.
How do you configure so that the system recognises that the role is in scope of the methodology? Also, where is the methodology coming from as we only have 1 methodology that is active and set as default.
Advice is highly appreciated.
Rgds,
