OS DB Migration

Dear All,

We are in the mid of doing the OS and DB migration for this system. We

need the kernel installation package as requirement for this installation

task in new Linux x86_64 unicode system. I am unable to find the kernel

from the oss. Please

help us find the Installation Package of KERNEL under SuseLinux x86_64.

This is very important for us and I would grateful if you can assist us

on this.

Hi,

if i understand you correctly you are looking for the actual kernel?

the Kernels for all Systems can be found here:

-> service.sap.com

-> downloads

-> Support Packages and Patches

-> Entry by Application Group

->" Additional Components"

-> SAP Kernel

And here you have to choose system ( e.g. 64 bit unicode ) than the Version ( e.g. 7.0 ) and than

Linux x86_64 and your Database + Database independent

Be aware that you must have a certified migration consultant on-site, otherwise you will loose support for the migration, for problems during it and for the target system.
