Handle non MRP Relevant St location stock in APO

Hi Gurus,

To give you a background of the issue we are facing -

R/3 today can distinguish between MRP relevant and Non MRP relevant storage location.

So when it comes to stock at plant level , it considers only the MRP relevant storage location .

In APO , it cannot distinguish between the two.So the issue we are facing is it is adding up to the stock at plant level and giving wrong picture of ATP.

We dont not want to simply exclude the non MRP relevant storage locations while CIf ing over to APO.

We want them to go to APO since we sometimes ship from these locations .

so the idea is probably we can use ATP category and make substitutions for the stock for these storage locations with new ATP category.

Has anyone worked on similar situation or has thoughts to share.

Thanks

Amruta

Dear Amruta,

unfortunately this functionality does not exist in GATP. Its not a bug, the GATP check was simply not designed to work via this way (see note 798001).

As a workaround you might use a MRP area as substitute for the check on storage location level.

Hi Amruta,

You can create an MRP area in ECC and assign those storage location to it. Additionally, you have to create an integration model for MRP area and material for MRP area and send it to APO. As result, you will see in APO the stock in a different location (the MRP area you created). So you can use location substitutions, checking if there is stock in MRP area if there is no stock in the main location
