Map Fault Message to RFC (SAP-46c)- Whole fault information required in SAP

Hi,

We are working on SAP 4.6c. We are consuming webservices provided by External system through SAP-PI. We have created an RFC in SAP 46c and imported that in SAP-PI which is mapped with messages in WSDL.

We are able to map the request and response in WSDL with the RFC but not the FAULT message.

a) How can we map the FAULT message with the RFC?

If I define one exception in the RFC I will not be able to map the whole information in Fault message with Message variables.

b) I want to have the whole information sent in FAULT message by the external system available in SAP (46c). How can we achieve that?

Hi abhishek ,

when an exception is raised on the application system ..in your case the R3...that will cause a application error in XI with the appropriate message text sent from the application..
