Small clarific on Solman

Hi,

I am planing to implement EHP4 on my land scape. Currently i am running on the SOLMAN 4.0, But as per my knowledge EHP4 needs SOLMAN 7.0 with EHP1. One of my folk said "SOLMAN4.0 and SOLMAN7.0 both functionalities are same except name". Can somebody advise is this correct statement and should i proceed EHP4 with SOLMAN 4.0?

Yes,

Solman 4.0 and Solution manager 7.0 both are same.....Just SAP renamed the version name from Solution Manager 4.0 to Solution Manager 7.0

But you have to check on which patch your solution manager is running present.

If you are running on EhP1, then you can plan for upgrade with EhP4 (lot of steps are there need to be perform)

If you are only working with 7.0 version with low patch then first you must have to upgrade your system with EhP1.

Thank you Nick. I will upgrade the pacth levels on solman. If possible can you please share any document which is having step by step process regarding the EHP. Thanks in advance
